How to get BOOKED
Honest thoughts about the process of pitching yourself + your new favorite resource as a photographer.
This week I found myself pitching again — and as always, I had that weird feeling… or maybe let’s call it what it is: that internal voice whispering,
“No one’s going to be interested.”
“You’re too expensive.”
“There’s so much competition, why even bother?”
And for a second… I almost believe it. But then I remember: I built my career pitching.
When I first started, I was in Australia — far from home, with no connections in the industry — and I still got myself some jobs.
Then I was back in Argentina… and I got myself some jobs.
Then I dreamed of spending a few months in Bali… and I got myself some jobs.
Then back to Argentina. And just a few months ago, Paris.
Six campaigns in one trip — and yet, I still felt imposter syndrome while pitching for my next Bali trip.
Funny how the mind works, right?
Anyway… Somehow, every time I’ve wanted to get booked — I pitched. And even though it’s hard, every time I really set my mind to it… I got booked. That’s how I’ve grown my career. By myself.
And — at the risk of sounding full of myself — no one handed me anything. I built this career on my own, and that gives me so much pride. Of course, I’m still not exactly where I want to be (are we ever? haha), but I’m proud of how far I’ve come.
So… when I posted about my last trip to Paris, I got a bunch of messages asking about how to build proposals, what to write to brands, how to approach them… And I couldn’t help but think of me starting out. Everything felt so confusing. And it’s so, so important to have friends in this industry — or mentors you can reach out to for support! (And if you don’t have anyone, my DMs are always open, by the way)
Because having someone believe in you — even through a screen — can change everything.
That’s what brought me back to an old project I had almost forgotten about…
An online resource specially made for photographers who are just starting out, or for those who’ve done a few gigs, but not the kind they really want to be doing.
At first, I thought:
“Let me put together my email templates and a visual proposal — super practical tools. A little starter kit.”
But honestly? That felt empty. Not enough.
So I wrote a guide.
I poured in my thoughts, my experiences, my point of view.
I included real email examples that booked me jobs, some simple but powerful exercises to help you figure out where you want to go next — and most importantly, who you want to be working with.
Because if we don’t know what we’re aiming for, it’s so easy to fall into endless test shoots that lead nowhere — and burnout.
And, of course, I added some words of encouragement for you.
I was so excited building it — and I hope you can feel the love I poured into it.
If you’re looking for guidance, if you’re feeling a little lost, or even if you’re just curious about my process… my ebook, Booked, is for you.
This week only, to celebrate the launch, it's $10 off — So if you’ve been waiting for a sign… maybe this is it.
