WHERE I FIND INSPIRATION (BESIDES PINTEREST)
Your 6 favorite platforms to find inspiration from now on.
As a photographer, I absolutely love Pinterest. Whenever I need to create a moodboard, find a specific photo, or just unwind after a busy day, I often find myself scrolling through Pinterest’s feed.
However, this platform isn’t the only source of inspiration out there. Sometimes, I can’t find exactly what I’m looking for, or I simply want a fresh idea from a different place. That’s what today’s post is about.
This is my personal favorite. I have to say, I actually discovered it through Pinterest, but they have an amazingly curated collection of editorials, lookbooks, and campaigns. Some of these images are unique and not found elsewhere. I find it really helpful when building concepts for magazines, as most of the photos have an editorial vibe.
This platform, created by Vogue’s team, allows photographers from around the world to upload their images into a kind of “portfolio”. Vogue’s critics then approve or reject the photos based on their standards. You can search photos by genre or photographer. With a huge collection, this website is a really interesting place to find inspiration (or upload your visuals to be discovered by others).
ONLINE MAGAZINES
Online magazines are a fantastic way to get inspired by other photographers’ work. They are easy to find on Instagram and offer a wide variety of styles. My favorites include Others Magazine, Cake Mag, and C-Heads Magazine. But there are literally millions out there.
This is a hidden gem. CoverJunkie features a huge collection of magazine covers from both big and small publications. It’s perfect for research if you’re submitting editorials or simply enjoy getting inspired by covers.
If you’re looking for a specific magazine issue or researching the editorial world, Zinio is great. You can buy and read different magazines online. While they don’t have every publication, they do offer the biggest names. You’ll receive a PDF in just a few minutes and can enjoy your read immediately.
INSTAGRAM
This one’s a little bit obvious, but I’ve been really enjoying my “discover” section lately (Maybe the algorithm has finally understood my style). I’ve found a lot of amazing photographers there and can spend hours searching for inspiration and saving my favorites.
These are my go-to options when I am bored of Pinterest, or just need something different. If you have any other recommendations I would love to hear about them!

I love it! I’d add “Behance”. Even when it’s not exactly the same, I often find inspiration in the recommendations on my feed
